I see a Saitek X52 combo ($115.99 on NewEgg), three very average looking flatscreens ($1,000 max), and a chair mounted to a bunch of sheet metal. Deducting the surround sound ($500, shall we guess?), that leaves close to $8,000 for a chair and some metal. Oh my!

Those monitors are puny. You could build a similar setup with three 24” or even 30” screens :)
I’m unimpressed. Even I could build a cooler setup spec-wise - design-wise I would be a bit challenged - though I could probably arrange for a cool pilot-like chair mounted on something...

I too tried to add up the things separately whilst writing this post and i was wondering why they have tagged it so heavily. A simulator with surround screens sounds a good idea but that is the only good thing about this assimilation. They need to re-think the price for sure.
